This episode is for the ones starting over... again.

We’re going back to Genesis 1, to the moment when God created the heavens and the earth — not from perfection, but from chaos. From darkness. From a place that looked like nothing was moving.

And maybe you’re there, too.

In Episode 57, Juantrell Lovette opens up about what it feels like to be in the middle of surrender — to be unsure, unfinished, but still becoming. She shares how the Spirit of God hovers even when we feel like we're drowning, and why your beginning is still holy, even when it’s hard.

🌱 New beginnings often come wrapped in breakdowns. But God still says, “Let there be light.”

🛍️ Gift Box Sneak Peek:

At the end of this episode, Juantrell offers a soft preview of the FaithfulFin Talk Gift Boxes — created to nourish the soul and serve as a physical reminder that you’re not alone in your healing journey.

Intro:

Breaking the chain, feeling the gain now I'm rising. Open the gate, never to late no hiding. Wings open wide trusing my God, ready to take off. Ready to take off someday I know I'm moving in the right way. I keep praying. I keep praying.

Juantrell Lovette:

Hey y'all. Welcome to Faithful Fin Talk. I'm your host, Juan trell Lovette, and today title is In the Beginning, and we're working on episode 57. Um, actually, the title is The Beginning, a Beautiful Beginning. The scripture that I'm focusing on, the actual chapter, will be Genesis. Um, because I actually went back to the beginning. This is real stories, real scripture, and real growth. Welcome everybody to the best podcast that you will ever come across. If you are new here, I like to welcome you. And if you're not new here, then you already know how we get down. Um, this right here is the beginning of something beautiful because I literally am starting over in a new career. I'll share that later. But not just a new episode again, not just a new chapter, but a new surrender. For the last week, I've been so sick, and I'm like, okay, I need to surrender some things. I need to surrender my health, my finances, my family, everything. But I had a problem with coming back. So today we're going all the way back, back to where it all began, and that's Genesis 1. I did some research, I did some studying. I listen to Genesis a lot because it's the beginning of the Bible and it breaks down the history of Adam and Eve's family. But when God speaks the first word of creation, he doesn't start with perfection, he starts with potential, and it was the potential of the world just being empty. And I don't know who this is for. Well, it could be for me, but it could be for anybody else. You're not too late, you're just in your Genesis. So, um, Genesis chapter one, verses one through five in the New Living translation. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the spirit of the God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, Let there be light, and there was light. And God saw that the light was good, and that was the first day. Um, when I was reading Genesis, and I was like, God is just, you know, he's just crazy because he created something out of a formless space. He said, Let there be light, and boom, voila, there was light. Well, that's what the Bible tells us. None of us was really there to see God's creation, but from chaos to creation, that's how I look at what God did and constantly creating something new in my life, your life. Um, it's always on a new basis. And so what shook me about the chapter of Genesis wasn't that God created, it was the fact that He created out of the words says the earth was formless and empty. Some versions say even void and dark. I know what void and dark feels like. I constantly go through my void and darks, but right there in a chaos chaos, God was hovering, not distanced, not confused, He was present. And he was creating something in the presence of something that was nothing there. And so I felt that because I'm like always constantly battling. What am I supposed to be doing? What am I supposed to be creating? What am I supposed to be living like? And God started over to me, started to tell me, you know, this is a spiritual thing. It can feel messy, it can feel shaky, it feels like darkness covering deep waters, but this is a spiritual thing. So if the spirit hovered there for the heart, for the earth, I know that the spirit is hovering over me too. And if I'm constantly getting with God, then God is gonna constantly allow the spirit to create things in me. And so I've been in a space of starting again. Like I said, I'm gonna be starting a new career, and I kind of don't want to share right now, but I just wanted to share how excited I am to be starting something because I'm just that type of person who just likes to constantly keep going and doing something. But it's not because I failed in my last venture, it's because I actually constantly keep surrendering. And so God is like, okay, on to the next. I had to give God everything the pressure, the pride, the plans I tried to control, even when it comes to this podcast, even when it comes to recording or just being up in my space, I constantly have to give over control. And I sit here recording episode 57. I know I'm not the same woman I was at episode 50. I was a little bit shy and I was a little bit like, what's going on? And Chris can agree because he saw me, but because something new is being formed, not just in my podcast or my brand or my work, but in my spirit, and it's constantly being able to surrender because I constantly want to be in control. So God said, Let there be light, and in me, I hear him saying, let there be healing, let there be softness, let there be wholeness again, let your light shine through, even when you feel like there's nothing there, even when you feel void and dark. So I was like, Okay, I hear you, but can somebody else hear you? Or am I hearing you correctly where it can dwell into my spirit and then I could be okay with this? So in Genesis chapter 1, verses 27 and 28, God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God, he created them. Male and female, he created them. Then God blessed them and said, Be fruitful and multiply. That's the blueprint. He created them in the image of being a powerful being. That was big for me because I was like, you know, what is this? We have all this confusion. Boy, girl, him, her, she, him, what's your pronouns? God literally created them. You were not made to merely exist, wantrell, or anybody else listening to this. You were made to reflect God. You can start over and be created something new to multiply, to steward, to carry something divine in your daily life. And I'm talking to myself because I constantly have to remind myself well, if God created heavens and earth within six days, and then he rested on the seventh day, what is he doing with you on trail in today? So if you've been questioning your value, remember you were God's idea and he called you good. Because when he made mankind, humankind, he made them. And he was like, Yeah, this is good. Yeah, I did that, right? So when you're at the start again, to the one who's listening, even talking to myself who's starting from scratch, wherever I'm starting from, emotionally, spiritually, financially, mentally, I'm not starting from a mental broken space, but a place where God has broken me down. He's like, This is my masterpiece. Let me become, make her of what she needs to become. And that's an everyday thing. That's everyday surrendering to God. Like, okay, I'm not in control. And beginning with God, they always start in darkness, but they don't stay there. So I'm like, what do you want me to do, Lord? Because sometimes I don't want to do this, right? So let's be real. Day one of anything is usually messy, dark, void, blackout, clueless, don't know what to do. Whether you're meal prepping or mindset shifting, it's awkward, it's slow, and it's unorganized. I know because I'm right there. This may look put together, but I'm really going off of the strength and the capacity of saying, I surrender, God, what do you want me to do? But don't let the mess of the day one make you miss the miracle of day six. I started back on episode 50, or now on episode 57. That's a big deal for me. Because even God took time and he still said it is good. He did not even create everything in one day, he created things in separate times. He was like, Y'all give some light on this day, some stars here, some earthly things here, some seeds here. So this episode is not just a celebration of the beginning, it's a declaration that what I've what I've been building and what I'm building, we're actually building, and it's rooted in legacy. So it's a seed being planted that I just cannot harvest yet. But I'm constantly watering this seed, and it's a bit big deal for me. Lavette Legacy, Faithful Fin Talk, the gift boxes that are coming soon. What I'm gonna show you, the conversation, the prayers, the teaching, the tears. Because I'm not a teacher. Um, it's not in my credential, and I'm like, God, what do you what do you want me to do with this? I'm not really a spokesperson. I like to be in my own world, in my own zone, and even coming on camera is very shy for me. But I'm showing up and I'm here. And he's like, it all starts here, and we're just getting warmed up. I'm like on the surface of being warmed. Okay, it's not even lukewarm yet, it's like heating up, not there yet. But you can multiply what you won't acknowledge. And today I acknowledge the power of a God plan beginning, not mine, because I'm constantly changing my mind. So I constantly have to surrender to what God planned for me and not myself. So I have gift boxes that are coming soon. Um, so before um I close, let me share something excited with you. For those of you who've been walking with me, I've been creating some special gift boxes. And they look like this pretty big box, and it comes with some very good things. Um, I've been creating these boxes full of faith-based things, and these are free. These are free for you guys that listen and tune into the podcast, and it's just my gift from Faithful Fin Talk, um, where I can give back, you know, scriptures, resources, and things like that. It's not yet done, but it's just a gift to say, okay, I want to give to the world and I don't know what to give, so I'm gonna give what God gave me. Um, which is Bible and things like that. It's not really here yet, it's coming and they're coming from my heart, they're coming out of my pockets, I'm paying for this, and like I said, it's free. So whether you're a subscriber, a supporter, or just someone in need of a little hope, these boxes are being designed with you in mind. And it might take a little time, but just know that I'm working on something in the background. So more details will come soon, but just stay tapped in. Um, but these boxes are pretty dope. It comes with Bible, it comes with markers, it comes with all kinds of stuff. Don't want to share too much, but just know it's a big box. Um, so stay connected to me. Um, stay connected to the podcast. Not so much to me, but stay connected to the podcast. Because if the today's episode like spoke to you in your beginning, if you were in your beginning, don't let it dim. Don't let your light be dim. Subscribe to the podcast, join the email list, faithfulfin talk.com, DM me or tag me at FaithfulfinTalk. I want to hear your genesis. I had people um commenting and tagging me, and I'm sorry I don't have the comments and tags right now, but just in reference, people was um very happy to be listening to the podcast. Um, we didn't, we're not like Bible Bible study, you know, like how it was before. And it's because I don't know, I've I've been having God work with me. But you know, if this podcast inspires you to not just be all up in your head and know that somebody else is going through it, just know you're not by yourself, right? So let's pray. God, thank you for the beginning. Thank you for the darkness that doesn't scare you. Thank you for hovering over my chaos and the world's chaos, for speaking light into places I thought were dead. Remind me that I'm made in your image and remind remind others that they're made in your image. Help me to steward this new season with grace and with power and with patience and let every listener know that their beginning is still blessed. Amen. Um, thank you guys for walking with me on today's episode. Thank you for growing with me on today's episode. We are um officially, you know, in effect, but um just stay patient with me because I get so much in my head about doing these podcasts, and it's just so great to have um people that believe in me, but me for so much to believe in myself um to do this, to show up in my Dululu. I have to be delusional when doing this because I'm the one that knows. So this is real stories, real scripture, real growth. Until next time, you guys.
