Juantrell Lovette:

Welcome to blessed to be ends. I'm your cousin and Christ won trial event. And this is bougie Bible study. Yes, I know, I've been gone for two months, I said that we were going visual. And the beginning of March March 1 was the last episode that I dropped from our series that we were into. And now I said that I was going visuals. So excuse me, you're going to be lying sometimes, because I'm not perfect. And I just want you to realize that I'm not perfect. So I don't expect anybody else to be perfect. But the way my life is set up, I was not really ready or prepared to jump into the visual. I don't know why I was so nervous. I don't know why I was scared. But I'm not going to be scared anymore. I'm going to shake this villain off. And I'm actually going to start today to go visual into our new series of becoming a Christian. Now, if you are new here, I'd like to welcome you to the best Bible study class that you will ever come across. If you are not new here, you already know how we get down as we dive into the Bible, and read a chapter a week, or month, or any other time. And we just get into the stories of the Bible. And we realize how important the Bible is, the stories of the Bible are and how in debt the word could be, and how vital and essential it is for our lives to live every day and to carry our lives with Jesus, our anybody that's connected to us in ways that we just want to know the answer, we want to understand we want to have a relationship with God. But we don't know how we want to know the stories of the Bible without feeling convicted, condemned or being assaulted by people and their ways of telling you how you should be or how you should act or how you should dress or how you should talk to God or interact with God. And you know, just trying to put Christianity over your life and you really just want a relationship with God, then you are here at the best podcast ever. Again, my name is Marcia Lovett. I'm your cousin through Christ. And I'm honored here to be here to read the Bible. Of course, anybody can pick up the Bible and read the Bible. It is your choice. I just make it easy for people who don't want to pick up the Bible, and just kind of tune in and listen and see that you know, we are all connected. And how important the Bible is a is for our lives, just like the stories of the Bible, the Word of God and just get an in depth understanding of how God works and how he works within us. So I'm not going to do too much ranting. When we left off, we were literally what 40 weeks, 42 weeks or something like that. We left off at the end of 42 weeks. So we already covered like 42 stories of the Bible. But the way that my Bible is set up, it has a tracker here. And it gives me passages to follow and things like that. And since we're visual, I'm gonna go ahead and show you guys how this works. So all of that was checked off because we covered all of these episodes. And now we're going to jump into let me see if you guys can see this. Now we're going to jump into this side. And yes, I have these episodes marked off, but I'm gonna go ahead and start from the beginning. Because I have questions and after reading a story and reading certain stories and going back in and reading them again and going back in and read them again and just having God's words just resonate into my spirit and really speak to me. There are some things that I do question about stories, but I don't question God. I just question the people who wrote the stories or who took out the time to deliver the Bible. I have questions for that because a lot of it is man written. And so when I read over Genesis chapter three, because that is the story that we'll be covering Today, Genesis chapter three, I have some questions saying a lot. And I was kind of questioning what was being said to me. And so last night when I went into my prayer closet and I prayed and I shared my joyful tears of just knowing that God is working on my behalf and things like that, and I just asked him to deliver a message that resonates to his children, his children, okay, so if you are not guys, children, and I'm not talking to you move along, okay? So I'm solely talking to his children, the ones that want to have a relationship with Him, the ones that want to know him or her however you identify your God. So that's what I asked for. And so today, I'm going to jump in and we are covering Genesis chapter three, we already covered Genesis chapter three, a while back, but we're going to cover it again. Okay, so grab your Bibles, grab your nose, grab a pass, whatever it is, you need to grab, or you can just slowly listen along and just follow like that. If you are new here, you can check out any episode before on a podcast is the first visual episode. So I'm really excited to see where God is going to take me and just this whole podcast and everybody that's related to me through Christ and how we're moving in life. So again, my name is Marcia LaVette. I am your host, and I've been gone. But I'm back. And I'm excited to jump into this episode before I head off to work. We are covering Genesis chapter three. So grab your Bible, I have my Bible here and I'm ready, I have my glasses too, because the Grow came see, and is very essential for me to know that I'm reading the Bible correctly. So if you are ready, I am to Genesis chapter three. The title of our title of our episode today is the first sin creates a need. The first sin creates the need. So we're going to get into it. I went over it. I looked into it. I read it before, but I'm gonna go ahead and read it again. So if you already I am. And here we are Genesis chapter three. It's called the fall. All right. So now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God gave the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden? The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden. But God did say you must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die. You will not certainly die, the serpent said to the woman, For God knows that when you eat from it, your eyes will be open. And you will be like God knowing good and evil. When a woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom. She took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were open. And they realized they were naked. So they so they sue fig leaves together and make coverings for themselves. Then a man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And they hid from the LORD God among they here they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord got called to the man, where are you? He answered, I heard you in the garden. And I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid. And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that have commanded you not to eat from? The man said, The woman you put here with me? She gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it. Then the Lord God said to the woman, what is this have you done? The woman say, the serpent deceived me and I ate it. So the Lord assets of the surfeit because you have done is CARSTAR you above all livestock and all wild animals. You will crawl on your belly and you will eat does all the days of your life and I will put enmity between you and a woman and between your offspring and hers. He will crush your head and you will strike his heel. To the woman he said I will make your pains and childbearing very severe, with painful labor, you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you. To Adam He said, Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, you must not eat from it. Curse is the ground because of you. through painful toil, you will eat food from it. And other days of your life, it will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the ground since from it you were taken for death, you are into dust you will return into dust you will return. Adam named his wife Eve because she will become the mother of all the living. The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothe them. In the Lord God said, The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil, he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever. So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim, and a flaming swore, flashing back and forth to Garth away to the tree of life. And as the end of our chapter, and as we go into debt, the guided tour of Genesis three breaks down to help me understand exactly what is the story, saying to me, what is it saying? It could say something different to you, just like you're saying something different to me. So as we break it down, we go into the guided tour of Genesis three, the crash, rebellion, nakedness, hiding, and shame. Now whoever wrote the Bible was I'm going to go dig into and find out and realize who wrote Genesis. I don't know why I do shaman here. Because I didn't get that they were ashamed of being naked. I got that they was just they realized that they were naked. And because they realized that they were naked, they covered themselves in fig leaves. Now, I don't know if that was the wisdom that was brought to them to even know to sow fig leaves together to use that as covering, because that's pretty smart on their behalf Adam and Eve, Sue. And at that time, that name wasn't Eve, it was just, I suppose they so at that time to even realize to so fig leaves trees together to make garments. That was smart of them. So I'm not sure if they were ashamed or if they just realized, Oh, we naked we got to cover up. And it kind of triggered me in a way when, towards the end of the passage, it says the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothing. So if they were not already in skin, what were they were they just spirits were they entity were you know, like, I just have questions about that. And I'm not a preacher. I'm not a prophesy or I'm not one of those. So if you're looking for anybody like that, to prophesied over you or to preach to you, you might want to go find another channel because this is not it. This is simply Bible study, as I'm getting into the Bible and reading the stories and trying to understand what God is saying. So the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them is that the skin that we carry on our body, this fleshly skin that's connected to our souls. And so that's kind of something that I was questioning and I was talking to God about last night. So anyways, let's break it down. chapter three, verse three, but God does say you must not eat from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it or you will die. The woman who does the fall, the alley and the theology is call it but the event this chapter describes it's really more like a crash. Although Adam and Eve have everything to people who want in paradise, still a thought nags at them, are we somehow missing out? Is God keeping something from us like all of us, they cannot resist the temptation to reach out for what lies beyond them. Journalists and author G K. Chester Chesterton said, there is only one doctor and that can be empirically verified. The Doctrine the doctrine of original sin. Genesis give few details about the first thing many people mistakenly assume sex is involved, but something far more basic is at stake. God has labeled one tree just one are off limits. The real issue is who will set the rule God or human beings, Adam and Eve decide in their own favor in the world has never been the same. The underlying message of genossen goes against a common assumption about human history that the world has been gradually progressing towards a better and better state. According to these chapters, that assumption is not accurate. On the contrary, humanity crashed against the rocks of his own pride and stubbornness long ago and is still doing so today. This is true they are. neither god nor anyone else has been satisfied with human beings since that time. Genesis helped us understand why the universe is so strictly lovely. Yes, so terribly tragic. It is lovely because God made it. And it is tragic because he entrusted it to us. And we failed. Did God really say Adam and Eve react to their sin as anyone reacts to sin, they rationalize try to explain themselves and look for someone else to take the blame. The author of Genesis quaintly knows that they also feel the need to hide, they hide from each other by making coverings for themselves because they sense for the first time a feeling of shame about being naked. Now, I didn't get that they felt shame. I just got that they was aware of their surroundings, and it was aware that they was naked, not sure how naked or aware they was because at the time God did not clothed them with the garments of skin. So I'm just thinking of how openly naked were they were they naked to see each other spirits? Were they naked to see the entity like because they have not yet been clothed with garments of skin yet, according to Genesis three, now? We wrong. But I'm still learning and I'm doing my search. So I'm just questioning certain things. Right? So perhaps the greatest change of all occurs in their relationship with God. Previously, they have walked in talk freely with God in the Garden, much as one would with a friend. Now when they hear God's voice, they hide. When God discovers Adam and Eve in hiding the x three searching questions, where are you? And why are you hiding from me? Who told you that you were naked? And why did you believe somebody else and not me? Now what is this that you have done? And are you ready to take responsibility for it? Genesis 30 Tails of other profound changes that affect the world because the creatures chose their own way, rather than their creators. Suffering multiplies, work becomes harder, and a new word death begins trend in high in a human vocabulary. Perfection is spoil forever. All wars, all violence, all broken relationships, our grief and sadness traced back to this one monumental day in the Garden of Eden. Life question. Have you ever felt hemmed in? Or stiffled by one of guys come in? How have you responded to this film? All right. Let's break it down. All right, because I question the story. I'm always questioning the stories of because they're written by man or woman or home. And I'm always questioning what is this story trying to resonate are tell me and what is God trying to direct? And tell me now the question was, have you ever felt him in our sinful by one of God's commands? How have you responded to this feeling? So I gotta tell you to do something, do it. Right. But how can you decide are different? What God is telling you? I'm gonna talk about me, okay. There's a lot of things that I got going on. I have my career. I have a job. I'm a parent. I'm a friend. And I'm all of these things, right? But first and foremost, I'm a child of God. And five years ago, I decided to take this spiritual journey to get closer to God. I grew up in church, I grew up and around people, Baptists and all of this and I grew up with that already installed in me but nothing was resonated to me as to when I got an adult and I became an adult. And I decided to take this spiritual journey on my own because I wanted to search for God. Even though God is always with me. It lives in me. It's me, I needed to search within me, and my surroundings and everything to know that God was right here with me. So I'm always question I'm always asking him, what is it that you want me to do? How do you want me to do it? Who do you want me to connect with? How do you want me to speak? How do you want me to talk? How do you want me to act? Because I never want society or people to put their things on me making me feel that I need to be a certain type of way or a certain type of person, to have a relationship with God. So as I started to take this journey, God started to break things down for me, he started to remove things, he started to move people, he started to reveal himself or herself to me. And I just started to get closer and closer to wanting to open and share the Bible with people not just closer to wanting to open and share the Bible with people, not just share the Bible with people, but share my experience that I've been on with the Lord, our Creator. Now, I say the Lord our Creator, because that's exactly how we are connected. We're connected, connected to a Creator, who created all things, Heaven and Earth. Good and bad, evil and good. So I'm just like, okay, Laura, you know, what is it that you want me to do? Now, if you guys can recall and remember, and go back to March 1 episode, I literally said that I was going to be doing a visual episode, that next week, that next week came, and I was not around, I was not even on a podcast, I was not in front of the camera. I was not even doing what I'm supposed to be doing. And I never, I never want to be like I'm a liar, right? But I'm gonna keep it real with you guys. Like, I'd be lying. Okay. And so that was working on me, in this midst of this two months span, I'm gonna say like, two months, yes, because it was March and April. And this whole time, I was thinking to myself, Oh, my God, I gotta get this, I gotta have this, I gotta do this to go visual, I gotta do this, I gotta do this, I gotta do that. And I'm literally ripping and tearing myself apart. And God, it's like, you don't have to do any of that. You don't have to be any of that, get your camera, set it up and read the Bible, like I instructed you to do. So I was battling with that for this past two months, you guys. And that's why I have not been on my podcast or haven't put out an episode. But it was so vital and important to me to do this. Now, because I'm like, You know what, I need to listen to what my Creator is telling me to do, because he's trying to take, it's trying to take me places, and I can't get there. If I'm stuck on my own fleshly desires and my own fleshly mindset of thinking that I got to have things figured out, I gotta have it, I gotta have this. And when God tells you to do something, or tell you not to do something is very important and vital for you to actually listen. Now not everybody is going to be able to listen or have the capacity to understand what is it that God is trying to tell you? Or what is he trying to tell you to stay away from? Or what is he trying to tell you to go to? I'm just speaking on me. So when I read the story of Genesis chapter three, yes, of course I question certain things. But one thing stood out to me a God commanded something. You can have everything in this garden of Eden. I mean, everything you can have this you have that you have this, but I just commanded you to do one thing and it's not touched this tree not eat from it, or else you will die. The serpent came along and trick not saying that he tricked the woman because he literally did not trick her. He said, You surely when I die? You know, God knows that your eyes will be open and you'll have wisdom. So you really wouldn't die. And just like any other fleshly desire of human, we're going to want to try to find out. Like if I was Eve, I would have been like, Oh, I'm not gonna die. Oh, I'm gonna get some wisdom. I'm gonna be like a god. Why not? Because it looks good. I think is good. So let me go ahead and try the fruit. I also would have done the same thing. It's just no human nature to do not saying that she set the tone for all humanity. Because the man he did not even have to eat the fruit. But he did. And I don't see him question her asking her what a fruit came from. Or did you get this from the fruit that God told us not to eat from? From the tree? That guy told us not to eat from like, he didn't question her like he lives he literally just went and all and ate it. And then we got came and spoke to him. He tried to put the blame on her. She tried to put the blame on a serpent. And everybody was curse, right? So that's how I look at it. When I tell you to do something or not to do something, just do it. It's hard. But the outcome is going to be for the greater good of you now why he cursed them and banned him out of the Garden of Eden. He literally gave them to the earth and was like here, you're going to work, the grounds that you came from, you're going to eat from the food that comes from the ground, because as soon as you're done with life, that's exactly where you're going to go back to that she was made to dust you will go back to God did not abandon Adam and Eve, he just kicked them out of the garden of paradise, to be kicked out of the garden of paradise of heaven. Everything that you want and desire, it makes you question and think or wonder, why did not listen to what the Lord had commanded. We all go through this, we all go through this, I don't care rich, poor, happy, sad, mad, we all go through a phase where God is actually talking to us telling us what to do and what not to do. And if you are a true believer, or a person who want a relationship with Christ, or God, you're gonna hear things and see things and feel things because God actually works in our lives. Right? Me, for instance, this podcast I was supposed to do this visual two months ago. Why didn't I have on here to do it two months ago, I didn't have the confidence, I didn't feel like I had everything that I need. I didn't feel like I was prepared and ready because I'm not a preacher. I'm not somebody who just, you know, go out here and preach the Word of God. And he's like, No, but I am a believer, and I truly do have a relationship with the Creator. And he assigned me to do this, not not just for myself, but for other people too, but for mainly for me, because I wanted a relationship with God. And I needed to know that no matter what it is that I do, or what I go through, I can be a dancer, I can be a bartender, I can be a street, street walker, I can be a real estate agent, licensed agent, licensed esthetician, I can be anything in his world, yet God has still chose to use me. And all I gotta do is open this Bible and read it, read it for me, read it for you. And really for anybody else who wants to understand that our relationship with God matters, our relationship with ourselves matters. And when God is speaking to you, and talking to you, and telling you what to do, or telling you what not to do, it's up for us, as people to take that. Serious to take it and be like, You know what, I'm going to listen. Because if I don't, I'm going to lose the opportunity to be in the kingdom. To be in paradise, I'm going to lose the opportunity to start wealth for my family, I'm going to lose the opportunity to gain insight and get myself out of depression, I'm going to lose the opportunity to heal be healed from the Creator who created all things I'm gonna lose the opportunity to gain relationships with other people and bigger places and better places and higher positions with me all because I'm not listening at all because I want to take initiative on my own or do things on my own and go this way when God is telling me to go this way. So it's telling me to go this way. So when I read Genesis three, it just made me think about me, it made me think about humanity, me think about people and it made me think about how Sam was created. He told him to do not do one thing he gave him the whole garden of Eden. He said don't touch this tree, don't eat it. Maybe don't even look at it. Right. But as curious as humans are, and ambition and you know, feeling like we got to have it on No at all one at all. Unfortunately, in the first beginning of the Bible, sin was created. The woman did something by not listening to God, by following someone else is worried but not believing what God told her and caused them to be banished from the Garden of Eden. Now, I do question certain things because it was very wise of them to create garments for themselves. fig leaves, like, how did they get the tools and material to sell fig leaves? You know, I'm saying I watched Naked and Afraid and I'd be like, Okay, that's creative, but you got to have the tools. You got to have certain things but the knowledge is like the mindset, your wisdom like that, that comes from the Lord that comes from the Creator. And so for them to be able to do that. I'm like, Oh, that was smart. Oh, that was the wisdom from the tree. that understanding, so fig leaves together. And you know, when they hid from God and things like that, to me, it's not like, oh, they were ashamed or they were, they were shameful. No, it was more like so they did something that they shouldn't be doing, and they feel bad for it. Or not even knowing how God will react to them for doing such crazy things. Like you listen to somebody else, you listen to me, or whatever. So, but it's very interesting and intriguing to me as I go into the Bible and research stories and just understand how God works, you know, and it's just talking to me, because I see you know, from the stories how you could try to put the blame on somebody but in all initiative, the man did what he did. The woman did where he was she did in a certain day with what he what he did, and they all got cursed the woman got hers she we give like childbirth is like super painful. Our periods and stuff super painful. The man gawkers, he always got to work, he got to work from the ground, he got to support his family. Like it's always been in key the ground state that God said you will work from the ground that you come from. So man being providers is like it's in the Bible, but Angola too much to that, because we got into how the fall and how sand was just created. It was created by not listening. And I don't know like them. What I know like me, I don't always listen, here I am two months later, don't have visual when I should have been doing is two months ago. But I know for a fact that God is doing something great in my life. So I'm going to start right here where I'm at. And I'm going to use what he gave me because I know that he's going to provide for me. And I'm just so grateful and happy to have this platform that I'm creating, that God has given me the opportunity to create, so that I can touch his people to talk to his people and know that we're all in this together. It is literally the relationship of Christ, not religion, because the story is just touch and death of so many people in so many things all over the world. You don't have to be Muslim, Catholic, Christian, or whatever it is have relationship with God because God is for all of us. It's within us. It's however you identify your God, whether man or woman, him Shem Wim them however you want to pronounce our call it pronouns or whatever you want to say, God is the Creator of all things. And when he tells us to do something, and he tells us not to do something, we as people have the opportunity to listen to appreciate to, you know, just sometimes not touch it or not go for it or not. Leave it in God's hands, you know, don't eat from the tree that he's telling you not to eat from and I'm just talking just hypothetically doesn't have to be the tree of garden, the tree of Eden. The Tree of Life. When you tell you don't hang with certain people, or don't go certain places, and don't talk about certain things, you know, like this all is in connection to what the stories are trying to relate to. So you guys, this was our first episode of visual and I'm so excited that I actually got on here excuse my hair excuse what's going on. I'm actually about to go into work. But I'm excited to jump into this and go visual and start start reading the Bible out in visually so that you can see how it to me off all real short of sometimes listening to God. I was supposed to do this two months ago. And here I am on March. March amalan, March shit, shoot, here I am. May 3, try to do my visual. And yeah, I got some work to do. I got some catching up to do. But I'm excited to be here. And I hope you guys are excited to be here. Do not be a stranger, click on the links, follow my Instagram follow you to follow everything as I put things into order, as I get my team into order as I get my cousin's through Christ in order as I build on this relationship with God and just continue to listen to what God is telling me to do. Continue to walk this journey with God and front and not do anything for cloud or to chase or it's to be like, Hey, look at me like I love the Lord like no, if you don't love the Lord, that's your business. But I do love the Lord and I love exactly what he's putting me through and taking me through because I don't look like what I've been through. And I'll get into the more stories about that in depth later on. But you can listen to any episode, you can go on to the podcast and listen to any episode. Let's see how far this podcast has come and how far is going. I'm super excited to touch base back with my listeners and I'm super excited to get things in order. To start, like, coming together and really just create a community of people who are related through Christ, and who actually want a relationship with God, and don't have a problem with sharing the Word of God with other people not to put God on people, because I don't like when people do that. You don't know when people want to do it, you don't know what God is trying to talk to people about. So to try to tell me how I shouldn't be or how I should act, or all this good stuff, and all of this great stuff, I leave that up to God, my job is to simply just read the Bible and just showed you how God is working in my life. He has brought me super, super far. And I know this is just the pre beginning of where He's taking me. And I'm excited to see where it's going. And I'm excited to bring all my clients hell and people that's connected to me to just know that God is amazing, okay. And I'm excited to be here. Not all the time, will I show up with this personality and his attitude, but I will show up to show you how and who's in control of my life. And that is the Creator who created all things both good and bad, however, you want to identify our Creator. So this is blessed to be as on your cousin to Christ launch. I love that and you have been rocking with me for the past 30 minutes. And I'm excited to take this visually and go on YouTube. So don't be a stranger press Like, share, comment. And yeah, just keep me posted. And come back with me and share another story next week. As I dive in to Isaiah chapter 52. Salvation prophesied. Again, I'm not a prophesy and I'm not a preacher. So if you're looking for somebody to do that, go ahead and follow one of these great, great preachers speakers that I also listened to as well. There's a lot of people that I take heed and listen to, but there is one Creator who I actually follow and that is the board and so I encourage you guys to do the same. So until next time, you guys I will talk to you next time. Bye
