Let's discuss our feelings. Hey, y'all, welcome to blessed to be S. I'm your cousin and Christ one, troll Yvette. And this is bougie Bible studies. If you are new here, I'd like to welcome you to the best Bible study class that you will ever come across. And if you are not new here, you already know how we get down as we dive in to the Bible and read a chapter a week as we get the insight, big story about what happened and what took place in the ancient times, and how this Bible is still vital for our lives today. And that's why I preached all over the world. And it comes in many different languages, and many, many different books. Today I am under the weather, if you can kind of hear it a little bit under the weather. But nevertheless, I'm going to get this story out because it's very excited that this is our last week in the teaching of PA We have been studying Paul for the last 14 weeks, which make this be the last 14 weeks that we have to hear what Paul has to say, and today's chapter entitled is Philippians chapter two, and the title is imitating Christ. I'm so excited to read the chapter and just allow the Holy Spirit to speak to me as well as use me to just change me and give me the message that I need that's going to benefit my life so that he can continue to use me for His purpose and do God's will. If you are ready, go ahead and grab your Bibles. I don't want to take too much of your time you can read out of any version you choose to this is no judgment over here. This podcast is simply just to get closer to God one day at a time, one step at a time, one story at a time just to hear the miraculous things that God did for the people in the book. And as he still do that for our lives today. Like God has just been so amazing to me. And I'm so happy to be a part of His family. I'm so grateful to be a hares in a child of God. And if you are two, then that's the reason why you're here. And I like to welcome you because this is the best Bible study class that you won't ever come across. So go ahead and grab your Bible. Again, you can read any version you choose to read out of I read out of the NIV version for this. I also like right now to NLT version on my phone but for this purpose is going to be the NIV version. Again we are in Philippians chapter two, and the title is imitating Christ imitating Christ humility. Therefore, if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any kafir from his love, if any common Sharon in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love being one in spirit and of one mind, do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves not look into your own interests, but each of you to the interests of others, in your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, who being in very nature, God did not consider equality with God, something to be used to his own advantage. Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place, and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus, every niche about in heaven, and on earth and under the earth, and every time acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, so the glory of God the Father, do everything without grumbling. Verse 12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obey not only in my presence but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose, do everything without grumbling or arguing so that you may become blameless and pure children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation, then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. But even if I am being poured out like a drink, offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me, Timothy and II path roditis Verse 19, I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon that I also may be cheered when I receive news about you, I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare for everyone looks out for their own interest, not those of Jesus Christ. But you know that Timothy has proved himself because as a son with his father, he has served with me in a work of the gospel, I hope, therefore, to send him as soon as I see how things go with me. And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon. But I think it is necessary to send back to you EPF roditis, my brother, co worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger, whom You sent to take care of my knee, for He longs for all of you and is distressed because you heard he was ill, indeed, he was ill and almost died. But God had mercy on him and not on him only, but also owe me to spare me sorrow upon sorrow. Therefore, I am all the more eager to send him so that when you see him again, you may be glad, and I may have less anxiety. So then welcome him in the Lord with great joy and honor people like him, because he almost died for the work of Christ. He risked his life to make up for the help you yourself could not give me. And that is the end of our chapter, what a very short chapter EPAP roditis was somebody who came to help Paul out in the Philippi church that Paul have found it, I'm gonna get more into that as I break it down. But I didn't even know who he Pafford itis was and I had to do some research. But it basically reveals that that he preferito died is was basically Paul's friend. So boom. Therefore, if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion they make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love being one Spirit and of one mind, I take that in and basically listen that Paul and this letter Paul is saying, Hey, if you have any of these things like Christ, if you take any of this, that I have, like me this tenderness, this compassion, all this all of this comes from Jesus Christ, there's a like minded death of one of a kind, I mean, we are all basically in this together that's how I'm taking it is basically saying like, you know, we are being in one spirit and once there reigns and all of us and that'd be the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit advocates for me, he advocates for you, you advocate for everybody else. And so we think and move like Jesus Christ, tenderness, kindness, selfless and just being compassion to those and others, then we are doing not God a favor, but ourselves a favor by receiving such things like that, like it's so hard to be okay in a world that's just chaotic. And I think it's good to just, you know, have those type of have being united with price allowing the spirit such as live to you so that you can live the spirit like I think that's that's glorious. That's, that's a part of the riches that glory that God has to offer us Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather in humility value others above yourselves not looking into your own interest but to each of you to the interest of others. Uh huh. You better tell society that because they don't flip the script on that it says it in the Bible and is so hard to put into practice. Like how can I put people before me without filling myself like low like how can I let me see how can I explain Do nothing out of selfish ambition like selfish ambition come from a place like I want to be there. I've got a gutter like I gotta get to this place maybe because somebody else is then that position, maybe because I've seen somebody else do it. So now I'm all amped up and I got to do it and I want to do it. But the whole time God is like, that's not what I got for you. So when I think of selfish ambition, I think of that I think of seeing somebody in a position and ambition really wanting to be in a position and now I'm selfishly trying to get to that position thinking I'm going to have the same reward that person has in that position and all along God is like on that's not what I got for you. So now you move in off a selfish ambition and you're moving vain and conceit, you're moving like this is you're you're supposed to be going in that direction. Now you're conceited about you're moving in a van because you selfishly thinking, you're gonna get to that point, I think you're gonna get the same reward, or not even knowing the reward that come with that. But God is like, I didn't have that for you. And that was that that passage spoke to me is like, don't move out of selfish ambition. Look to the Lord, because you don't know what God has for you want Trump don't selfishly look to other people and get ambition off of what they have. Look to God and allow him to ambitiously give you what you need. So that when you work you working in the ambition of yourself, not like self trying to get there for somebody else, but selfishly trying to get there because God has that plan that purpose for you. It says, rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, and I look into your own interests, but each of you to the interests of others, so hard to do, and it's so hard to put into practice. But yet, I still try to do this by looking to other people interests and saying, you know, what, what matters to me may not matter to others. So I always want to hear what somebody else may want, or what they may need. And I tried not to selfishly think, well, it has no interest for me. So I don't need to even insert myself there. But instead, try to value the others based off the interest that they have, like, I don't want to look within myself and be like, oh, this person don't look like me. They'll talk like me, they'll act like me. So I don't want nothing to do with them. Like no, I genuinely want to see people and meet them for who they are, and even the potential that they may have, or even that something that God made bestowed upon them that they don't see themselves that I actually want to see as somebody like, I want to be able to value people above the interest of myself, if that makes sense. And your relationships with one another have the same mindset as Christ Jesus whole being in very nature, God did not consider equality with God, something to be used to his own advantage. Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant being made in human life. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross when I think about the stories that we went through, and we learned about Jesus Christ in the first 14 weeks in any of those 14 episodes before from one to 14 all gave us a glimpse of Jesus Christ, it broke down Jesus Christ gave us how he got here and his whole back in the story and everything. And when I think about what, you know, just the small just the 14 chapter stories that I was able to read through and I see what Jesus went through and how he dealt and treated people and how he even went off on his own and how sometimes his disciples didn't understand him and what they did to him and how they put him on their cross. I felt his pain. I felt everything that was said and done to him. I felt like it still happens today. It don't happen in that nature. But it definitely happens with the way we speak to one another the way we treat each other the way we deal with each other is so much corrupt stuff going on in this world. And you would think how do people treat innocent people so cold? Like how can murderers murder innocent people are molesters rate keys? Are the government just treat people in poverty so long? Like how is this so organized, that we are still dealing with racism and thieving people, nations and countries and they background and just the whole thing like this world is so corrupt like what they did to Jesus, they are still doing that two people today, not they but people are still doing it to people today. And when I think of trying to answer myself to be more like Jesus is like he was ready for whatever he was not a punk he was no chump like you couldn't get over on him like if he didn't want to die on a cross. He wasn't going to die on a cross but that was all God's plan. So what Jesus do for him going to the cross die for my sins taken on and beaten and all that I owe him my life. I owe him my trust. I owe him faith like he took a beating for me, He died for me that I don't have to face death. But I know that somebody came and took on the worst beating that I could have ever to go like none of us could have bear what Jesus had went through. And to be more like Jesus is like, yes, stand firm in your character. Don't be a pushover, Don't let nobody tell you what you can and cannot do always look to God for what you need and where you go and allow God to use you for His purpose because his purpose out stands and outweighs anything that this world has to offer you and to see what Jesus went through and to see how Paul even had his life flipped upside down and how God used pa as an instrument to teach and tell people about the word is like, Yes, Lord, I don't want to be weak in this flesh. One prayer that has been sticking with me that I know that is very important to me is this serenity prayer that is posted in my bathroom, God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. If God is for me, who can be against me, Jesus stood firm, and he died on a cross for me who can condemn me, the Holy Spirit literally come the advocate for me, where he changes me from the inside out, who can tell me who I am like no one, God is amazing. Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue acknowledge that Christ is Lord, that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God, the Father, Jesus Christ is Lord, and he may not be your Lord, and he may not be the people's Lord, but he is a lord, whether you like it or not, he, he could be my Lord, He came and died for me, he can definitely be my Lord. Even though God is above all, Jesus is above all, except for God. And he came in he did a work for God, so do everything without grumbling. Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, because he used to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, or it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. Hello, Holy Spirit, thank you for working me, changing me from the inside out, allowing me to act according to your will. I mean, this person that I am today is only by the grace of God, I was very emotional today, because I've been a little bit under the weather, but just in the state of sometimes feeling like oh my god, I know where I'm going, I don't know what's happening. I don't know what to do. And just put my trust into God Dad, it's a trust that you have to kill your flesh war. And today I did that today. I had to part of off mesh because my flesh she wants something she wants to get somewhere that the spirit is not telling her where she goes in his thought, tell her where where she will get to or anything like that the Spirit is working with the Lord and is keeping her position in a place that can only be understood by the relationships you have with God. Today, I had to put my flesh to rest because my spirit is trying to lead and I know that if I allow my flesh to lead then I've been off putting my Spirit on the back end and God can only move through my spirit. So I want you guys to know that it doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, we all have this battle inside of us that our relationship with God is very vital to understand like the purpose are where you go in to understand like the ambition that rates in my spirit I want it to come from God I for so long lived with this mystery of who am I and as I started to discover who I am gonna start to remind me that we're creating this wonderful person that has already been created a God's Eyes flesh, he has not been created a flesh in order for her to be created flesh that the old me must die first. And I could never really understand that or anything like even today sounds a little confusing, but I know the journey that God has taken me on what he's doing in my life can only be explained through whatever lationship with God as He will be a time it's got to be the only day that be able to give us a great explanation of what took place. So they that I know is God did God said God will God is and I trust that. So it's been a little roller coaster for me. But I just want you guys to know how human I am. I'm no different from you. I'm no different from anybody else. Like we all go through stuff. Nobody's perfect. Like we all go through stuff. For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose, do everything without grumbling or arguing so that you may become blameless if your children of God without fault, and they weren't in a quick iteration, but God will still be the same God as the next generation make his way through the as God brought me into the future, I will stay close to God because I know that it's not easy to do life without grumbling or argue like, bro, this stuff get real tired and like, I get upset, I get mad, I get weak and all that, like I'd be willing to give up all it's hard. There's something that led me he has something for me, and I could feel deep down in my spirit, that, that I know that God is just doing the work in me. And I know if it's not for God, I will die. Because here's the birthday for me to live for, besides the things that God gave me and the people that are still dB, and I'm not aware of it. So you guys just need to know like, I was sure by bullshit because this is true. This relationship that I have with God with Jesus with the Holy Spirit, the work that has been done it'd be up clueless to a lot about trust is, is something that I hold or to is something that lights my faith, it keeps my hope there because I know that God has set it for me more sufficient that I can even think about it I know that when I get to this place the it'd be worse to tell me something that maybe I deserve it or Oh worthy, or whatever it is that God may have for me, but it'd be worse to remind me that it's not there for me, but God God did and he will he will make sure that his plan his purpose for my life, your life and everybody life is fulfilled so that makes me emotional because it's a trust that is so sufficient. I love the Lord so much and I thank you for all A's thought in my life did you will shine above them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life and then I will be able to bolster the day of Christ and I did not read our labor in vain that's how I feel right now. I feel like yeah devil what I'm not ready I'm gonna do a little boasting because I love the Lord and I love God but yeah, I'm not ready I'm not God aware I remember I used to be ready and every time something will get me bad or Anytime somebody's day be wrong and I felt like I wanted to get away from that person or get away from that situation I will literally pack up and I will leave I will like move away I will go across the state I will try to move to another town or another city and I remember what time my baby daddy told me like you got to stop reading from stuff you got to start face if they and it didn't hit me right then and there when he said it but yet those words never left be those words replayed in my mind over and over and they replayed to the point where they actually suck down in my heart is something convicted via Toby like you have to stop reading and watch rail you have to stop whatever it is that you go through like God wants you to face it head on because there's something on the other side for you but you ain't gonna get it you keep running and so I'm really grateful for the words that He spoke to me but I'm more grateful for what the Holy Spirit is done for me like convicted me of my actions my feelings My ways all kinds of things to make me revert our change to change my life around to do certain things different to move different talk different you know, listen different so it's a lot that what God is doing for me that I can't really speak up or that I try to speak on each episode, but for this episode is true. Like I'm real bad emotional today. I've been like this for a week. It is not because I'm under the weather is because walking with God is it's such a reward that you think you're not getting there. reward right? Based of how things are going but will you look overall the big picture you look at your life you ate you see like day? I'm not dead. I don't look like when I bet Do I have a buddy or credit good like you don't like like this is this was not be like this is only by the grace of God overall just looking at my life patches, I'm so happy to be in this position and relationship with God that my emotions come from a place of gratitude. It comes from a place of just humble, humble this like then you guys thought oh what I bet through my whole life just No Mom, no dad growing up churches services being locked up at 1230 4060 having a kid at 70 finish at high school, try to go back to school, I got license, I got certificates, I got all kinds of stuff, they all that I would think that it's only by the grace of God, he allowed me to turn my life around, or he allows me to walk this journey. Like he got the ba ba right here. And sometimes I'd be trying to pull away from him. And he reminds me what I should like how safe and secure I am with you. There's not that it is well that can make me feel like how God made me feel. And for that I am forever grateful to be in His presence. So but even if I ever be poured out like a drink offering, or the sacrifice is service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me. And that's how I feel. That's, that's my rejoicing. Like God, you are amazing. You are just amazing. And whatever I gotta do to show you is no reward for God. Does it get rewarded for what we do here? I'm sure he appreciate it. But it's us who received the reward from God, we actually do we supposed to do by his will. It's amazing. All right. So first it I hope it allowed us to say tivity to you so that I also may be cheered what I received those about, you have no one else like him who was Shoji, your concern for your welfare for everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. But you know that Timothy has proved himself because as a son with his father, he has served with me in a word of the gospel. Timothy was a friend of Paul's, they are help it understood it look to God. So when you have people in your corner that look to God or what to look to God, I think it helps it I think for me, I don't have anybody in my quarter like that, that have a relationship with God like I do, that people that I do have about quarter that have relationship with God are at a distance of they're not really close friends or family like that. So I think God is preparing me to step into a position it to start Be friendly people who feel like I feel about him in love with Jesus, and love God. I think God has now prepared me for those moments because I've been asking to be surrounded with newer people who people like be like, who loved Jesus who want to be more like Jesus who want to walk in with Jesus. So I'm just grateful for that. So I hope therefore to see him as soon as I see how things go with me. And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon. But I think it is necessary to say back to you the backward itis my brother, coworker and fellow soldier who was also your best soldier who will use it to take care of it. For He longs for all of you. It is just because you heard he was ill. Indeed he was ill it almost died but God had mercy on him and not on him only, but also be spare be sorrow upon sorrow. Therefore I have all the more eager to sit him so that way you see him again. You may be glad and I may have less anxiety. So then welcome him in the Lord with great joy and other people like him because he almost died for the work of Christ. He risked his life to make up for the help you yourselves could I give Timothy you've had for died. Is it PA? They are were Christ minded people. They helped Paul at the church in Philippi. And Paul went through a lot since found in the church at Philippi. He went through beatings, imprisonments, shipwreck humility, hostility, jealous competitors, he went through a lot and I don't think that one time he wondered if it was all worth it. I think at that point, Paul knew it was all worth it. I think the people around him would probably take it dude like is everything what you go through for God? Everything what you got peep to preach the word of Jesus Christ. Is it all worth it? Like you've been beat? You went to jail, your ship wreck, like people are cutting for view from left to right. They don't even want you to go to church like, is it really worth it? If our PA he's like, yes, hell yes is worth it. Are you crazy? I will do this over and over again because he knew he saw the right hand of God to be when you see God's hand that it lights, my trust, like I already trust you Lord, but when I watch you work on my behalf when I see you protect me from that car crash when I watched you turn my finances around, when I see you help me fix my attitude, when I see the relationships you restored in my life. God it is only you it is most definitely worth it. When I shared these tears that are the key boaster on this podcast, or when I expressed to the people how much I love you, it is most definitely worth it. I am a sitter, I am just like everybody else, I go to college, just like everybody else. I come from nothing, just like majority of the people who were if about a half, I ain't gonna say that because I don't even know people's background and things like that. But I do know that there is a God so sufficient for each and every one of us that there is no way that I'm going to sit up here and be silent about our Lord Jesus Christ, a God, our Father in heaven, who does such great things through the Holy Spirit within us to bring a great work and like I am honored. And I will continue to say that to be here to read the stories of the Bible. Each story does something to be I want to be like Christ, the mindset of Christ to imitate Christ. I want to be firm. I want to be strong. I want to be brave courage, have strength, the serenity, the knowledge, the wisdom, like Yes, Lord, continue to work in me. And don't stop. So you guys, thank you for rocking with me today. Oh, this emotional roller coaster. But it has been an honor to be your host today on today's podcast. And I'm just so grateful to that. God is just amazing. And if you have God in your life, you are amazing. If you could do anything for me is just to say this message to somebody you feel that can benefit from it who may need it or want to get a message who needs to get a message you want to get close to God who wants to read the Bible but just don't know how let them come over here. It's a blessed to be so bougie Bible studies and get this word. Okay. Until next week, you guys, I'm your host lunch irrelevant and you've been rocking with me on this emotional day. So know that I'll talk to you later. Bye
